Stretching the Thin Blue Line: Policing America in Times of Heightened Threat by Dr. Ross L. Riggs
About The Book:
Stretching the Thin Blue Line is all about fighting the war against terrorists right in our own backyards and on our own front porches. Stretching requires that local police and very specific persons within local communities work together not in some rehashed publicity program but in real time risk assessments and interdiction. This is about knowing when and where the bad guy will strike and meeting him there with the full force of your agency to dispatch him to his reward. Stretching begins by helping us understand the nature of cops and identifying the citizens that will be needed to stand shoulder to shoulder with them to stop the terrorists. It is about America saying, NO MORE, not here, not on our watch!
