from A marketing focus group where women were asked to talk about products
their husbands and boyfriends used. One woman said she looked through her
boyfriend’s medicine cabinet to see what products he used because she was trying
to get an idea of what he was like – based on the products he used. Every other
woman in the group said they had done this at one time or another..

Bill Vernick got a job as a film editor out
of high school and sold his first screenplay at age 20. He became an
advertising writer, was was co-creator of “The Best Part Of Wakin Up Is Folgers
In Your Cup.” Bill has written numerous articles about branding and
advertising. Brand Guys, co-written with Claire Farber, is Bill’s first book.
